London faces a unique range of continuity challenges - from the politically fuelled chaos of Extinction Rebellion protests to the much more sinister threat of terrorism. Victoria BID have implemented a crisis management software platform this year, connecting its members into a security community. This event will be showcasing Victoria BID's innovative approach, with the morning agenda as follows:

  • Victoria Emergency Notification System (VENS): How Victoria BID have Implemented Resilience Technology - Chris Tsikolis, Head of Security & Business Resilience at Victoria Westminster Business Improvement District.
  • Counter Terrorism for London Business Districts - Chris Phillips GCGI FSyI FCIISCM, former Head of the National Counter Terrorism Security Office.
  • Crisis simulation: This simulation will be run by Jim Preen from Crisis Solutions.
  • Communication Technology for Resilience - Richard Stephenson, CEO of YUDU.

Formerly, Richard was chairman of the FCA regulated Xafinity (Responsible for pensions for the armed forces and major corporations), a non-executive director at Deloro Stellite (cobalt and nickel alloy components) and was President of Navimo, a French company that is the largest supplier and manufacturer to the boating industry.

Jim will be talking to Richard about some of the incidents he faced, how these companies discussed risk, and where businesses often fail in their crisis preparation.
