YUDU Media Produces Digital Edition of Russia Supplement for UK and US Distribution

YUDU Media has produced a digital edition of a supplement on Russia that is being distributed in the UK and the US for Rossiyskaya Gazeta (Russia), Russia's leading quality daily newspaper. The eight-page pull-out supplement, 'Russia - Beyond the Headlines', is being distributed in the Daily Telegraph on Saturday 25 August, and will be distributed in the Washington Post on 30 August, and in the Times of India on September 1st. The digital editions will be also available on the website www.rbt.rg.ru.

The supplement will be produced monthly in both hard copy, distributed through newspapers, and in digital format. It covers a cross-section of issues from Russia, such as the development of the countries high-tech industry, its history and infrastructure, and emerging industries such as cinema.

Eugene Abov, Editor & Publisher of 'Russia - Beyond the Headlines', Deputy CEO of Rossiyaskaya Gazeta and Vice-President of Russia's Periodical Press Publishers Association (GIPP), says: "We want to offer an insight into the real Russia - not just the Russia that we read in the headlines. Digital editions provide a great opportunity to reach a wider audience who may wish to access special reports digitally, rather than just through the paper. We can also include rich media in the way that we can't in a hard copy.

He continues: "The Telegraph audience is one of the most demanding and advanced as far as the use of new media is concerned and we hope to produce more of these supplements digitally."
