Holland's Largest Magazine Printer Partners with YUDU to Offer iPad App Solution to its Customers

Partnership extends YUDU's market penetration in Europe, gives Dutch publishers ‘one-stop shopping' for both print and digital production needs.

London, UK - April 04, 2011 - Digital publishing company YUDU Media (www.yudupro.com) announced today that Holland's largest magazine printer, Senefelder Misset, is now offering YUDU's custom-branded iPad App solution to its Dutch customers. The new service is being sold by Senefelder Misset's X-Media Solutions division.

According to Erik Ernens, Commercial Director for Senefelder Misset, the company selected YUDU as its partner due to its deep knowledge and experience in the iPad App arena. "We evaluated several options, and felt that YUDU's custom-branded App approach would best serve the needs of our customers," said Ernens. "This partnership with YUDU will enable our publishing company clients to quickly and easily get their editions into the App Store and onto the iPad. It also gives them ‘one-stop shopping' - they can now come to X-Media Solutions for all of their print and digital production needs."

YUDU's iPad App approach allows publishers to:

• Retain control of their brands with their own branded App (rather than a newsstand model, where the aggregator App is the primary brand and gatekeeper for each publication);
• Make their content available at the world's largest App Store -iTunes; and
• Get their App live in the App Store quickly, since YUDU has now been through the process many times.

Richard Stephenson, CEO of YUDU Media, said, "YUDU has partnered successfully with large printing firms throughout the U.S. and Europe in order to help their clients transition publications to the iPad platform. All they need do is provide us with a print file, and in days we can create a custom App that leaves them in control of their own brand while conforming to Apple's rules." YUDU can also set up iPad edition subscription services, helping publishers create new revenue streams. YUDU has already created dozens of custom-branded iPad Apps for clients such as Lands End, CapGemini, Newsmax Magazine, Readers Digest UK, Runway Magazine and Virgin Holidays. YUDU is completing new Apps at a rate of about one per day.

Once created, each App acts as a container that houses all new publications from a specific title or company: YUDU Pro customers need only to upload their master .pdf file to the YUDU platform to easily self-publish directly into the App (YUDU also offers a bureau service). App users are notified when new publications are available for in-app purchase or download.
